MCCONNELL UPDATE: ABC News reports Senate Republican leaders now say they've personally spoken with McConnell by phone. Thune's office says they had a "lengthy and substantive conversation" covering national security. Barrasso's office says a 20-minute call Tuesday covered the Platner allegations, Supreme Court spending ruling, the NDAA, and the DNI confirmation, adding McConnell was "fully engaged."

Notably, his team still hasn't provided any information on his actual diagnosis. If he's well enough for detailed national security conversations with colleagues, the continued silence toward the public is still the part that doesn't add up.
