The contrast is difficult to ignore.
Many of the world's wealthiest and most influential figures continue to enjoy lifestyles with enormous energy demands, even as the public is encouraged to accept higher costs and greater restrictions in the name of climate policy.
MY ASSESSMENT: Whether you support or oppose Net Zero, the public is increasingly questioning whether the rules are being applied equally. If political and business elites expect ordinary people to make sacrifices, they should be prepared to lead by example. Perceived double standards only undermine public trust.
