Iranian state media confirms that Iran's Supreme Leader Ayatollah Ali Khamenei is dead.

MORE - 40 days of public mourning have been announced in the wake of Khamenei’s killing and seven days of public holidays.

A DHS Critical Incident Note from the Office of Intelligence and Analysis, released Saturday before confirming Ayatollah Ali Khamenei’s death in U.S.-Israel strikes, warns his killing would almost certainly escalate retaliatory actions or calls to action from Iran and its proxies, including Hamas, Hezbollah, Houthis, and Iraq-based militias.

Iran will likely continue attacks on the U.S. and its Middle East allies while blaming U.S. officials for any anti-regime protests.

DHS is most concerned short-term about cyberattacks from Iran-aligned hacktivists on U.S. digital infrastructure.



US CENTCOM reports three U.S. service members have been killed in action and five are seriously wounded as part of Operation Epic Fury.

President Trump releases an update on the strikes in Iran. He says their entire military command is gone and nine ships have been sank.

He also acknowledges that Supreme Leader Khamenei was taken out in the initial strikes.
