President Trump has appointed Erika Kirk to the Board of Visitors of the U.S. Air Force Academy, filling the seat previously held by her late husband Charlie Kirk before his assassination in September 2025.

The board, which functions like a board of trustees, oversees morale, discipline, curriculum, instruction, physical equipment, and fiscal affairs at the Colorado Springs academy.

Texas Rep. August Pfluger, a board chair and academy graduate, praised the appointment, stating Erika is the right person to continue her husband’s work inspiring the next generation of service members.
