Later in the movie the bomb is detonated in Baltimore, followed by the big PAYBACK REVENGE sequence at the end with song “Nessun Dorma”

Nine top-level U.S. scientists have died or gone missing over the past nine months, and seven had ties to the Air Force Research Laboratory (AFRL) or institutions it funds.

Among them: aerospace engineer Monica Reza vanished in June 2025; LANL staffer Melissa Casias disappeared four days later; three Wright-Patterson personnel died in an apparent murder-suicide in October; astrophysicist Carl Grillmair was shot dead on his porch in February 2026; retired AFRL commander Gen. William McCasland vanished from Albuquerque that same month with the FBI now involved; MIT plasma physicist Nuno Loureiro was fatally shot in December 2025; and chemical biologist Jason Thomas was found dead in a Massachusetts lake in March 2026.

The deaths span three key nodes of U.S. defense aerospace research — Southern California, New Mexico, and Ohio. Rep. Tim Burchett (R-TN) stated plainly: "Something dark is going on."
